The Biogas Channel interviews Attila Kovacs, executive board member of the European Biogas Association since 2009, who firmly believes in biomethane’s “substantial role in the future” and depicts a possible road to get there.

Among the many obstacles that prevent the creation of a European biomethane market are the policies of the various Member States on their national biomethane production, related incentive systems and the design of the natural gas network that should connect all countries. The Horizon 2020 Biosurf Project is trying to overcome these non technical obstacles and to promote the use of biomethane within the transport sector.
